VISION AND MISSION OF SOCG
"The work of Standing on Common Ground is revolutionary in that it includes so many students from a school, not just a select few. All of the processes and activities and standards aligned and research based but stay firmly grounded in experiential education thereby guaranteeing long-lasting results and greater impact for the school."

SOCG programs focus on, and have proven to significantly influence:
-
Reduction in aversive behavior resulting in fewer dean's office referrals, suspensions, and expulsions.
-
Increase in social and academic engagement resulting in punctuality, in-seat attendance, and higher graduation rates.
-
Increase in students' pro-social behavior resulting in less bullying and name-calling, less gossip and rumor, more respect for diversity, and more willingness to intervene when witnessed.
-
Increase students' preparation towards career readiness and post-secondary success.
